Tungsten copper welding electrode common specifications are D1x50, D2x50, D3x50 and D4x50. The commonly used ratio is 70W30Cu, where the density is 13.85, the hardness is 85, the conductivity is 42, and the performance of this material is more suitable for repair welding electrodes than other ratios.

Tungsten copper welding electrode is a kind of composite metal material which is made by combining high purity tungsten powder with high purity and high plasticity and high conductivity copper powder, and refined by static pressing, high temperature sintering and melting process. Good electrical conductivity, small thermal expansion, no softening at high temperature, high strength, high density, high hardness. Tungsten copper alloy is the best choice for welding electrode because it has the high hardness and high density of tungsten and the high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper.

Copper tungsten (CuW, WCu) has been recognized as a highly conductive and erasion resistant composite material that is extensively used as copper tungsten electrodes in EDM machining and resistance welding applications, electrical contacts in high voltage applications, and heat sinks and other electronic packaging materials in thermal applications.

The most common tungsten/copper ratios are WCu 70/30, WCu 75/25, and WCu 80/20. Other common compositions include tungsten/copper 50/50, 60/40, and 90/10. The range of available compositions is from Cu 50 wt.% to Cu 90 wt.%.
